3 Rising Startups to make an IMPACT in 2022

The past two years have been a rollercoaster journey for most, if not all, firms in the market. When the pandemic hit, several companies, succumbed to their fall due to a lack in demand for their goods or services. Several other companies didn’t just survive, but they thrived off of people’s demand for their products. Amidst this chaos, many brilliant minds discovered opportunities as they learned about the public’s limitations in the pandemic and came up with solutions to all their needs. These were the entrepreneurs with their startups – new and old – who came forward and seized the moment when they found it.

In this article, we have summed up a few of such startups and how and why 2022 is gonna be the year they shine bright like a diamond!

With the technological advancements and the move into a fast-paced automated era, villages are being transformed into towns, towns into cities, cities into supercities, and more. People flock to the best metro cities in search of better lives and opportunities. Everyone is so busy these days securing a better future, a financially stable life, that we have all forgotten to take care of our mental health.

Enter Wysa! Established in 2015, by Jo Aggarwal and Ramakant Vempati, Wysa is a Bangalore-based, user-friendly, virtual coach that has an AI-powered chatbot to provide empathetic listening services and uses therapeutic techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and several exercises aimed at one’s emotional and mental wellbeing.

In a short span of just five years, the app has gained a lot of popularity and has raised a funding of INR 90 lakhs ($9 million), apart from the Series A funding of INR 5 crores 50 lakhs ($5.5 million).

CEO, Jo Aggarwal states that the app is made as an outlet for people to vent to. In the rough estimate of their 30 lakh users, only 10% need medical diagnosis and help from a human therapist.

The mental health app is set to turn heads and help more people in the upcoming years, and we are excited to see it grow even bigger.

Congratulations to Rebel Foods for entering the Unicorn club this month, and as per its 2020 financials, revenues are up by 84% to INR 572 Crores, we hope to see it reach even higher heights (and maybe give us a small, free treat😜 for achieving this feat and many more to come).
